Age for School Entrance
Students must be five years old on or before September 1 of the school year they enroll in kindergarten. They must be six years old on or before September 1 of the year they enroll in first grade. The District does not have an early entrance policy for kindergarten students; therefore, the September 1 cut-off date is strictly enforced. Students who successfully complete a state accredited kindergarten program outside of the District may be allowed early admission to first grade.
