Board
of Education Members
The seven members
of the Board of Education serve four-year staggered terms. Candidates
run for office in the April general election in odd numbered years.
Members serve without pay and must be 18 years old, United States
citizens, registered voters, and residents of Illinois and the school
district for one year preceding the election.

Andrew Johnson, President
Mr. Johnson is Executive Vice President and a Principal of Captive Resources, LLC, in Schaumburg. He graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Industrial Technology and Occupational Safety and Health and is a 1981 graduate of what was Wheaton Warrenville High School (now Wheaton Warrenville South High School). Mr. Johnson and his two children are products of District 200. Mr. Johnson was elected to the Board in 1997 and has served as Board President since 2001. |

Rosemary
Swanson, Vice President
Mrs. Swanson is a Business Manager at a local firm that provides questions for academic quiz bowl competitions across the country. She has one child attending District 200 and two who are District 200 graduates. Mrs. Swanson is a former PTA president and currently serves on the executive committee for the Du Page Division of the Illinois Association of School Boards. Mrs. Swanson holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and religion from North Central College. She was first elected to the Board in 1999. |

Barbara
Intihar, Secretary
Mrs. Intihar owns a Wheaton based information technology recruiting
and consulting firm. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois
with a degree in math and computer science. She has one son who attends
Wheaton Warrenville South High School. She was elected in 2001. |

Ken
Knicker
Mr. Knicker is a retired Account Executive from 3M Company. He earned a Bachelors of Arts degree in Economics from Benedictine University and a Masters degree in Educational Administration from Northern Illinois University. All three of his children are graduates of District 200. He was originally appointed to the Board of Education in 1996 and then elected for the first time in 2001, currently serving in his second elected term. |

Bomher
Mr. Bomher is a senior vice president with the Illinois Hospital Association. He earned a B.A. in political science and a law degree from the University of Illinois. He has three sons who attend District 200 schools. Mr. Bomher was elected in 2003. |

Joann Coghil
Mrs. Coghill is a realtor and owner of a Keller Williams Real Estate office. She attended the University of Denver and was a flight attendant for Continental Airlines for 16 years. Her three children are graduates of District 200. Mrs. Coghill was appointed to the Board in October 2004. |

Marie
C. Slater
Marie is a member of the staff at Sunny Ridge Family Center in Bolingbrook. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Dayton and a paralegal certificate from Roosevelt University. Marie and her husband, Joe, are the parents of six children who are District 200 graduates. She has served on the Board of Education since her appointment in 1986. Marie was president of the Illinois Association of School Boards, 2005-07. |
