Mrs. Danielle Moran

Welcome to Hawthorne School and thank you for visiting my page!  I am honored to serve as the principal of Hawthorne.  I began my career as an elementary school teacher in Bensenville School District 2.  I also served as an assistant principal and principal in Yorkville CUSD 115 for five years.  I joined the Hawthorne community as principal in 2013.  I graduated from Willowbrook High School in Villa Park, IL, and from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL.  I majored in Elementary Education and minored in Spanish while at "Augie".  I also received two master's degrees from Concordia University Chicago in River Forest, IL:  Curriculum and Instruction with ELL (English Language Learner) certification, and Educational Administration.  I am passionate about teaching and learning, and I truly believe every student is capable of achieving at high levels.  I am the proud mother of 2 children, and I have a dog, named Bella, who is also a member of our family!  I enjoy cooking, baking, reading, and playing with my kids!

Hawthorne School is a very special place to grow, learn, and work.  Our staff is dedicated to meeting the individual needs of every student.  Our parents are partners, supporting the entire school community by volunteering, advocating, and participating in many events that support our school.  Our students are thoughtful, caring, and eager to learn.  They come from diverse settings, and they teach me something new everyday!  Please feel free to visit our school or contact our office for a visit:  (630) 682-2065.  We welcome visitors and volunteers to our school community!
