Board Invites Feedback of Superintendent Qualifications

The District 200 Board of Education is working with Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates to conduct the search for a new superintendent to succeed Dr. Gary T. Catalani, who is retiring at the end of June 2007.  Part of the process includes getting feedback from various stakeholders about the qualities and characteristics they seek in a superintendent.  A series of meetings for that purpose will be held in September with school and community groups, in addition to two general meetings designed for the general public. Those meetings are scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 12 at the School Service Center, 130 W. Park Ave., Wheaton, and 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 13 at the Wheaton Park District Community Center.  If you want to share your views with the Board of Education, you may attend one of the community meetings or complete a Leadership Profile Form and mail it to Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates at the address indicated on the form.  The information gathered during this process will be compiled and used by the Board and the search firm as they conduct a candidate search and interview individuals for the position.
