Miss Maher, school Social Worker, is running this years Christmas Sharing Program. Starting Monday, November 11th, we will begin our donation collection! For the next two weeks we will have a Penny Drive and a Food Drive; please give your child your spare change and let's see how fast each class can fill up their donation jug. For the food drive, please remember to donate non-perishable items such as canned vegetables or fruits, bags of rice or beans, and peanut butter and jelly or jams. We appreciate your generosity!Practical Fundraising™

Wheaton-Warrenville Community Unit School District
#200 offers numerous free screenings throughout the school year for children,
ages 3 through 5 years of age who are residents of District #200 but who are
not yet eligible for kindergarten classes.
The purpose of this screening is to detect possible
developmental delays that might negatively impact a child’s learning. Children will be screened in the areas of
speech, language, hearing, vision, motor skills, play skills and conceptual skills. This screening will be completed by Jefferson
Early Childhood Center Diagnostic Team members and will only take about 60
minutes. This screening will NOT determine if a child is ready for
kindergarten. Please call for an
appointment if you have concerns regarding your child’s development.
Screenings are by appointment only and are scheduled
for various days throughout the school year.
We are currently taking appointments for the 2013-2014 school year. Interested parents should contact us by calling
the Jefferson Early Childhood Center Diagnostic Team at (630) 682-2109. We
encourage families to make appointments early since we have a limited number of
spaces available per school year. Once
our appointment calendar is full for this school year, we will take information
to proceed with a preschool screening during the 2014-2015 school year.
After January 2014 questions or concerns
regarding upcoming kindergarten aged students should be addressed to your
neighborhood elementary school. Parents
of upcoming kindergartners are also encouraged to watch for kindergarten
roundup dates and the kindergarten visitation schedule.
