Posted Draft Curriculum
Posted draft curriculum documents represent a collaborative effort of teams of teachers working to develop rigorous curriculum for our students that align with Illinois Learning Standards. The state approved these standards in 1997 for seven fundamental learning areas. Each curriculum is written in terms that describe what a student will be able to do as he/she participates in each subject. District 200 believes that the continuous improvement of instruction is essential to the quality and success of student learning. Such improvement involves a clear process for curriculum development.
The current drafts of curriculum are available for review by District 200 community members for 30 days; posted pending Board of Education approval. Individuals who complete a response form will be contacted by a member of the Educational Services Department to insure that all questions and/or concerns are addressed. Members of the Educational Services Department will respond weekly to questions/comments during the days school is in session.
