My teaching career began as a little girl setting up “desks” in my parents' basement.  I spent hours pretending to be the teacher.  My little sister was kind enough to oblige me.

I attended Illinois State University and received my BS in Elementary Education and an endorsement in Health and PE.  I taught elementary PE for 3 years and middle school for 1 year in Naperville, IL.  I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction in May of 2017.   

My husband, Dustin, and I have been blessed with 4 wonderful children. We have three sons and one daughter.   Staying home with them when they were little and running a full-time daycare business for educators' children was a true highlight for me.

I am an avid runner.  I enjoy training for marathons and finishing them even more.  I find running brings me great balance and peace in my life.
