The 2022-2023 school year marks my seventh year with CUSD 200.  I spent my first year teaching the PACE program at Emerson before moving to Monroe Middle School to teach language arts.  I'm excited to share my love of reading and writing with my students!  Before I began teaching, I spent over twenty years as a mid-level manager for two different manufacturing companies:  one made high-temperature ceramics for the steel industry and the other made custom-built scenery for television, theater, special events, corporate meetings, and museums.  My oldest daughter, Ashley Gerold, is the Emotional Wellness Coordinator right here at Monroe!  My perfect middle child, Delaney, is a high school English teacher in the Glenbard district, and my son Levi is a freshman at the College of DuPage this year.  He plans to transfer to the University of Tennessee next year.  All of my kids graduated from Wheaton-Warrenville South.  When I'm not teaching, I'm either spending time with my family, riding my bike, walking my dog, or out somewhere enjoying nature.  If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me!
