This is Mr. Petrando's second year at Wheaton North, where he will be teaching music keyboarding. Mr. P is also in his fourth year as a 6th grade music and 7th grade foundations teacher at Edison Middle School, and is excited to be able to work with students at both the middle and high school levels this year! Last year, he had the pleasure of vocal directing the musical, High School Musical 2, at Wheaton North. Mr. Petrando is a graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University, earning a Bachelor of Music Education in 2017. At IWU, Mr. Petrando was a four-year member of the Collegiate Choir, with whom he performed in 18 states across the US, as well as in France. He completed his student teaching in the Fall of 2017 at Hinsdale Central High School in Hinsdale, IL, and Margaret Mead Junior High in Elk Grove Village, IL, teaching Choir and General Music. Mr. Petrando is a proud product of CUSD 200.
