Mrs. Beth Eland
This is my tenth year at Edison and fifth year teaching 6th grade Math. I have also taught 7th grade Math and Social Studies, and EL Science and Math. Prior to coming to Edison, I taught 7th grade Science and Math, 6th grade Science and Language Arts and EL Science and Math at Monroe.
I sponsor the STEM Club at Edison and look forward to offering exciting hands-on challenges while bringing in a range of speakers about Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
I earned a BA from Wheaton College with a major in Communications and a minor in Business. I received a MAT from National-Louis University in Elementary Education with a concentration in Middle School Mathematics. I hold endorsements in Math, Science, Language Arts, Social Science, Speech and Theater, Physical Education, EL, Gifted Education and Middle School Curriculum.
Prior to starting my career in education, I worked at Chicago Hilton and Towers in guest services and served as an account executive at First Chicago Bank.
I have had the privilege of traveling to numerous countries around the world and enjoy watching movies and taking cooking classes.
