Mrs. Crystal Forbes
Crystal Forbes received her undergraduate degrees from DePaul University in Music Education and Piano Performance, and returned to DePaul to complete her graduate degree in Music Education. On the faculty of Franklin Middle School in Wheaton since 1986, Mrs. Forbes teaches Interrelated Arts, Foundations, and directs five choral ensembles. Mrs. Forbes has also taught English, Social Studies, Exploring Foreign Cultures, and Entrepreneurship over the course of her time at Franklin. Since 2009, Mrs. Forbes has served as choral accompanist and curriculum designer for the music theory program of Chicago area-based Spirito Singers and is in frequent demand as a collaborative pianist. She is also a member of the Martha Ibbetson Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, having functioned for five years as American History Committee Chair and currently serving as Chaplain. Mrs. Forbes lives in Elmhurst with her husband and is the proud mother of two musician daughters.
