I graduated from Hope College where I majored in learning disabilities and a minored in mathematics. Being a lifelong learner, I recently started graduate school and working on a masters in differentiation from Concordia University Chicago.  This will my 5th year at Monroe. Before coming to Monroe I taught for a semester in Niger, Africa. My previous positions at Monroe include a permanent substitute in 2013, a special education teacher in 2014-2015 and 7th-grade math in 2015-2018. Along with teaching math, I also help with costumes and co-directing the fall play.

Some may argue I am a bit obsessed with mathematics as my husband and I were married on "Ultimate Pi Day" (March 14, 2015). I truly believe that my love of math can be contagious.  When I am not teaching I enjoy being outside, disc golfing, trying new recipes and spending time with my husband, sister, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law.
