Bachelor of Science in Biology, Pending Masters Degree in Education Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction Secondary Professional Educator License with Endorsements in: Middle School Science and Social Studies, High School Biology and Chemistry
I am thrilled to continue to be a part of the community here at Edison! This school year, I have transitioned from teaching seventh grade Science and FP Science to teaching a variety of elective courses at all three grade levels.
I graduated from Elmhurst College in January of 2015, with a degree in Biology, as well as teaching endorsments in Middle School Science and Social Studies, and High School Biology and Chemistry. I am currently working toward a Masters Degree in Education Leadership and Curriculum & Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. This past summer, I studied at the Milwaukee School of Engineering to gain the credentials to teach the seventh and eighth grade Project Lead the Way classes, Design & Modeling, and Automation & Robotics. Additionally, I am a Google Certified Educator.
I am the Crew Director for Edison's Fall Play and Variety Shows. I have also sponsored the STEM Club and Chess Club.
My goal as an educator is to inspire my students to become independent, lifelong learners through valuable and effective classroom experiences. I love that my new role allows students to collaborate and explore through project based learning.
In my free time I enjoy spoiling my dog, Ruger, playing tennis, and singing. Let's have an amazing year!
