|Spring Parenting Seminars
Parenting can be one of the most difficult experiences in life and it comes with little to no training. District 200's Student Services team understands the challenges that parents face. Each year, Donna Kozica, District Social Work Department Chair, and Gary Luckey, Wheaton Warrenville South Social Work Chair, coordinate a fall and spring series of parenting seminars to support District 200 parents.
"Our seminars empower parents to take an active role in parenting," says Donna Kozica. "We hope to provide not only education on topics parents confront, but also a chance to connect parents experiencing the same challenges."

Board Discusses Facility Needs Funding Options
For the past six months, our district has been engaging hundreds of community members in creating a master plan for all 20 of our school buildings through a series of community sessions.
On February 17 at 7:00 p.m., we will host our final community engagement session
around master planning at Monroe Middle School. At this final session, we will review final options for a master plan and begin discussing potential costs to cover many important, needed updates.
At Wednesday's Board of Education Meeting, the Board heard a presentation on our five-year financial projections, as well as an overview of potential funding options for the Facility Master Plan
. While the Facility Master Plan is not yet finalized, the Board felt it was important to begin discussions of options to fund the critical work needed at our schools.
