PACE Testing Schedule 2020-2021
Spring Testing for ALL IN-PERSON 2nd graders will take place during the first 2 weeks in February. Classroom teachers will be using the Cognitive Abilities Test. Exact Days/Times will be determined by individual schools. Virtual Academy 2nd graders will be offered in-person testing June 2021, dates and times to be assigned later in the spring.
Spring Testing for IN-PERSON students who have been referred for testing, grades 3rd - 5th, will be tested in a date window of late February into March. Second grade students who meet the CogAT requirements from the previous month's test will be given Iowa Assessments. 3rd - 5th grader will be given both CogAT and Iowa Assessments. Testing dates and times will be assigned by individual elementary schools. Results will be made available in May.
SUMMER TESTING for 2021
Virtual Academy, Homeschooled and Private school (both elementary & middle school) students who were referred this past year for PACE testing will have opportunity to test for PACE June 14-22. Some follow -up testing for 2nd graders also taking place on June 28 & 29
An email of invitation, with specific dates and times, will be sent later in May with specific details. The email of invitation will go to all Virtual Academy 2nd graders and other students referred for testing*.
*Elementary students who moved from Virtual Academy second trimester to in-person learning third trimester will also be included in the invitation list for PACE testing.
PACE results will be made available later in the summer.
New move-in PACE testing will be available for those who are new to CUSD200, both elementary and middle school. PACE testing is tentatively planned for August 11 -13, 2021. Parents need to fill out referrals for testing prior to these dates.
Middle School spring testing for PACE will be made available in February - April. Parents are asked to turn in Fast Paced Language Arts or Fast Paced Math referrals to the PACE office by February 1, 2021 due date. PACE testing will be held in the spring. Specific dates and times will be determined by your child's school. Results will be made available in May.
(Entering 8th-grade students whose scores initially qualify for FPM will ALSO need to complete and pass a High School Algebra 1 Class (summer school) AND CUSD200 Algebra Local Assessment before finally qualifying for 8th grade Fast Paced Math for the following school year.)
