Mrs. Leigh (Taddeucci) Briody
Welcome to Mrs. Briody's Page!
Hi, my name is Leigh Taddeucci and this is my fifth year teaching at Monroe. After graduating college, I accepted a position as an Instructional Aide in a 3rd-grade classroom at Hawthorne Elementary school in Wheaton. In 2013, I accepted my first teaching position as a 7th-grade Resource Teacher at Monroe Middle Schoo. The following year, I moved to 6th grade and have taught here ever since. In addition to teaching, I have also coached 7th-grade volleyball for the past four years and I now coach 8th grade.
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in May of 2012 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary and Special Education. I completed my Master's program in Curriculum and Instruction (Autism Spectrum Disorders) from Arizona State University (online) in May of 2017. I hope to continue learning through professional development opportunities in the future!
I grew up in West Chicago, Illinois with my two younger sisters, Alyson and Megan. My parents still reside there with our family dogs, Moose and Deuce. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, cooking, working out, playing sand volleyball, reading, crafting and being outdoors. I love to be adventurous and take on new challenges. I've been skydiving, zip lining and have completed two marathons. My motto is to set goals that scare you a little but excite you a lot. Keep dreaming and you can achieve anything you set your mind to!
I look forward to the 2017-2018 school year! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.
