Romp & Roar is Friday, September 27th
What is Romp & Roar?
Romp & Roar is the Whittier PTA's main fundraiser for the school year to fund enrichment and support for all students in the Whittier community. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000! The PTA spends about $100 per student every year and this fundraiser in a major component in paying for field trips, assemblies, classroom materials, the pancake breakfast and Adventure Day.
How are donations accepted?
Flat donations by cash or check can be sent to school with your completed donation sheet in the Romp & Roar packet. Please make sure to include your Student's Name and Class.
Online donations can be made at the Whittier MemberHub Site: Click HERE, or go to whittier.memberhub.store, and click on Fundraising.
How is my student involved?
To show off our school spirit and get the school ready for the Romp & Roar, students can decorate the shoe handout in the Romp & Roar packet. Finished shoes should be sent back to Whittier by September 13th.
Students are encouraged to seek out donations from family and friends in the weeks before Romp & Roar. There are prizes available for levels of donations and class team donations that are turned in prior to the due date of September 27th. In addition, for each $101 a student collects, a raffle ticket will be entered for a chance to win FOUR TICKETS TO A CHICAGO CUBS HOME GAME!
All students will participate in the fitness-based portion of the event on September 27th. Teams are formed in grade classes and take on the challenge-course race during P.E. classes. The top team in each grade for the highest average number of laps will be invited to a pizza party at school on November 5th!
