Lowell PTA has always been an important link between parents, teachers and the school. We work with Dr. Rodriguez to create a sense of community, provide information, advocate for our students, and provide funding for important programs.
Traditionally, Lowell PTA has held events to drive school spirit and engagement, as well as raise funds for critical education and grade level programs.
While we will not be able to hold our usual events like Jamboree or Trivia Night, our committee chairs are working with the school to find out how we may be able to provide alternative activities. Our fundraisers for the year will be a modified Laps for Lowell, Cook’s Night Out, and a mum sale.
We understand that our community has been affected with furloughs, food insecurity and other challenges. The Lowell PTA is refocusing our budget on the critical programs which will help enrich learning. Raz-kids, Dreambox and digital classroom magazines are key to this.
We welcome your ideas on how to keep our community connected during these uncertain times. We ask you to join/renew your membership with the Parent Teacher Association so that we can continue to advocate for our students together. Our communications are always a great way to learn about Lowell school happenings.
We will work with our district and the school to bring you updates on spring programs, should the Illinois Department of Public Health and Illinois School Board of Education change the guidance.
