Greetings Hawthorne Families,

I am honored to serve as Hawthorne's Principal and I am looking forward to partnering with each of our families to support your child's growth. I look forward to an incredible year of learning and growing together. I believe every child can reach his or her full potential when the proper supports are matched with a child’s needs. If we support a passion for learning early, we have given each child the tools for lifelong learning and success. 

I obtained a BA from the University of Illinois at Chicago in Elementary Education in 2006 while on the swimming and diving team. While there, I earned endorsements in ESL and special education. I attended the University of Chicago to pursue a science endorsement for middle school. Following this I earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.  Prior to joining CUSD 200 in 2019, I served as a special education teacher, case manager, and primary team leader in Chicago Public Schools for 12 years. 

I am delighted to be a part of the District 200 family serving Hawthorne. Our little school with the big heart is an incredible place to learn and grow.
