TIGERS READ 2020
Optional Summer Reading ProgramReading gives us a place to go when we have to stay where we are. This summer we are hosting an optional all-school summer book club. We have partnered with local businesses to promote the joys of reading while helping students stay sharp in the academic off-season. Those who pledge to read at least one book will be entered in our raffle for a chance to win fabulous prizes. It's simple: for each book students read, they submit a Google Form as a digital raffle ticket. We hope students continue to read while having a relaxing and renewing summer. Book Recommendations
It is your choice what you read this summer, but if you are looking for some suggestions, here are some possibilities:- Staff picks
- Suggested books on Overdrive (for e-book and audio book services)
- Abe Lincoln Book Awards (voted on by Illinois teens)
Here are some resources if you are looking to check out a book from our school library using Overdrive or if you would like to use one of our public libraries:
- Overdrive (for e-book and audio book services)
- Warrenville Public Library
- Wheaton Public Library
After you read your book(s)
When you complete a book, simply fill out the Google Form below as your digital raffle ticket. We will draw names and announce our winners at the start of the school year:- Google Form book review (for entering raffle you must be logged into your school Google account)
Contact Dr. Lawrence at craig.lawrence@cusd200.org if you have any questions about this optional reading program.
