Wheaton-Warrenville PTA Council Scholarship Committee

It has been a long-standing tradition for the WWPTA Council to celebrate our graduating seniors by awarding scholarships, each in the amount of $500, to outstanding seniors at Wheaton North High School and Wheaton Warrenville South High School. Typically, the Council awards a total of six per school through funding generously donated by our local elementary and middle school PTAs.

Most years, Council’s Scholarship Committee selects recipients through a blind application process based on students' demonstrated excellence in Academics; Leadership; Community Service; and Co-curricular Activities. Scholarship winners and their parents are then celebrated at the Annual Scholarship Breakfast in April.

Like everything in this unusual year, the Council Scholarship Program has had to adapt to our new environment. While we’ll not be hosting the annual breakfast, we will be awarding the scholarships. The tradition will continue in partnership with our high school booster clubs the Falcon WiNGS and Tiger PAWS. Thanks to the generosity of our elementary and middle school PTAs, we will be sponsoring 16 additional scholarships for the Class of 2021.

Students interested in applying for scholarships should contact their high school’s Counseling Center.
