Ongoing Programs
Garden: The Garden Committee manages and enhances the appearance of Jefferson's outdoor spaces. These include foundation gardens around the building and our children's garden learning environment. The committee fills the planters that accent the entry, plants and prunes, maintains mulch ground cover, and assists with the class gardens as needed.Parent-To-Parent Network: This program links families of special needs children with other families facing similar challenges and circumstances. It allows families the opportunity to share with one another what they've learned through their experiences and to offer the understanding that can only come from those who has been through it themselves. To volunteer as a resource parent, or to request a contact for yourself, please call Diane Augustine, VP Special Needs Initiatives.
Wheaton-Warrenville PTA Council: This group includes representatives from all 20 CUSD 200 Schools for the purpose of supporting individual PTAs through information sharing, leadership development, and the cultivation of positive working relationships with the superintendent, school board and district-level staff. Monthly meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, 9:30 a.m., at the School Services Center.
If you want to get involved in planning or helping with any of our activities, you are needed! There are many volunteer opportunities available throughout the year and at any involvement level, whether you want to lend a hand just once, or you want to serve as a Program Chairperson.
Simply contact the Jefferson PTA and let us know where your interest lies!
