As the social worker at Emerson Elementary School I'm available as a resource for teachers, students and families as we all work together to ensure students' social and emotional needs are being met, so that students are able to reach their full potential in the educational setting. Social work services can include classroom presentations, individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, teacher consultation, and linkage and referral to outside resources. Areas of focus might include conflict resolution, anger management, peer relationship skills, coping strategies for stress or anxiety, grief support, or support in managing family changes.
