Read – Write – Connect – Reflect
The English department wishes you a restful and renewing summer. We hope you will continue to read books of your own selection as well as the required reading books for your respective grade or level. The information below will allow incoming freshmen and all Advanced/AP students to access all required reading assignments for the 2018-2019 school year.
The English department welcomes you, a member of the class of 2022, to Wheaton Warrenville South High School for your freshman year. We are sure you are both nervous and excited about beginning high school this fall, but we also hope you are going to enjoy a restful and renewing summer. An important goal of the English program is to foster an appreciation of literature. As such, part of your summer enjoyment will be an opportunity to read for pleasure.
Links to the required summer reading assignments are below. Please make sure to click on the appropriate link for the class you are enrolled in for the start of the school year. If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Lawrence, the English Department Chair.
