Nicole Juhl has been teaching at Wheaton Warrenville South since the fall of 2005 and has been teaching in Physical Education since the fall of 2001. Prior to 2001, Nicole worked in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and an exercise specialist for several health and fitness clubs in the Chicagoland area. She also was a varsity level dance team coach and choreographer for Prairie Ridge High School and danced on the Milwaukee Bucks NBA dance team. Nicole graduated from Western Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a Dance minor and then continued to Northern Illinois University to complete her master's degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education with an emphasis on curriculum instruction. Her teaching career started out at Palatine High School where she taught dance and coached their varsity dance team for four years. While teaching at Palatine High School, she created and implemented a district-wide dance curriculum and was part of district 211's fine arts committee. She also was the varsity dance coach for four years here at South. Nicole has completed certifications in Zumba, STOTT Pilates, Kickboxing, PIYO, Turbokick, Hip Hop Hustle, Spinning, Metabolic Conditioning, and Xtend Barre. She has also received certifications from American Council on Exercise as a personal trainer, nutritional certifications through AASDN and Precision Nutrition, is an Integrated Corrective Specialist through the Institute for Integrative Health and Fitness Education and is a 500 RYT through Yoga Alliance. Currently, she is working towards a yoga therapy certification through Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy. She teaches Dance, Yoga, Freshmen PE, and Junior RTE. When she is not teaching at South, she is keeping busy by spending time with her husband, twin daughters, and son.
