Miss Jen Hottendorf
My name is Jennifer Hottendorf, and I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the All Day Kindergarten program at Emerson Elementary School. I would like to provide you with some background information about my professional experiences in the field of education. In 1999, I graduated from Benedictine University with a degree in Special Education and I am certified to teach children from birth through 12th grade. In June of 2003, I graduated from National-Louis University with a Master of Early Childhood Leadership & Advocacy Education Degree. This is my 24th year teaching in District 200. I taught Early Childhood Kindergarten for 13 years, the full-day Instructional Kindergarten program for 5 years, the Instructional Kindergarten - First Grade program for 2 years, the Primary Instructional Kindergarten-Second Grade program for 1 year, and the Primary Instructional K-2 program in Virtual Academy for a year. I taught at Bower Elementary School my first year of teaching, and I taught for 22 years at Emerson Elementary School. This will be my second year teaching All Day Kindergarten.
