Degrees and Certifications:

B.S. in Elementary Education from Northern Illinois University

Ms. Angela Sheppard

Welcome! My name is Angela Sheppard. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in teaching Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies from Northern Illinois University. I am currently working towards a Master of Education degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on ESL and Teacher Leadership certifications. I have been lucky to be teaching in CUSD 200 for many years. I student taught with Mrs. Shibley in the fall of 2012 and then covered a long-term substitute leave in a different third-grade classroom at Washington the following spring. Prior to joining the 5th-grade team, I taught the PACE program (Program for Accelerated Curriculum & Enrichment) here at Washington from 2012-2014. I joined Mrs. Hrunek and Mr. Strayve in the fall of 2014 and have absolutely LOVED teaching fifth grade. In addition to teaching, I also work at the Carol Stream Public Library as a Circulation Clerk. Feel free to stop in and say hi! When I'm not working I enjoy binging movies, going on scenic hikes, devouring food at new restaurants with friends, tackling jigsaw puzzles, and teaching my two cats - Tilikum and Iggy - new tricks (yes, my cats can really do tricks!!!)
