Mrs. Hazard-Hodges has been the Reading Specialist at Monroe Middle School for the past six years after working in the same position at Lowell Elementary School for one year. Prior to that, she was a Reading Specialist at Chute Middle School in Evanston. Mrs. Hazard-Hodges is also a verbal ACT preparation tutor at Huntington Learning Center. She desires for all students to enjoy reading as well as develop reading comprehension strategies so they can successfully handle every text they read.

 

Mrs. Hazard-Hodges received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Illinois State University before receiving her Master's degree in Reading Education, also at Illinois State University. She is trained in CRISS (Creating Independence through Student-owned strategies) and in REWARDS.
