Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Peg Glasser
I have been a social worker in CUDS200 since 2002, initially at Longfellow School and then moving to Washington School in 2011. Prior to 2002, I worked as a therapist in non-profit community based agencies. I received my undergraduate degree in social work from George Williams College and my MSW from Jane Addams College of Social Work at University of Illinois at Chicago. It is a privilege to work for CUSD200, the school system that my children attended and that (some time ago) I attended as well.
Supporting children and their families is central to my job as a social worker in an elementary school. School both rewards and challenges us. It is a place of opportunity for all children. My role as a social worker is to support student learning and emotional growth. So much happens to a child between the ages of five and ten. Children grow in their academic abilities and their emotional understanding. Their interests develop and their friendships expand. Families grow and change during that time period as well. I am grateful to be available to provide assistance to the children and families of Washington School
