Degrees and Certifications:
My name is Annie Sparacio and I am one of the English Language teachers at Emerson School. This is my 12th year teaching in School District 200. I have been at Emerson for 10 years. This is my 1st year as an EL specialist. Prior to this role, I taught kindergarten for 9 years at Emerson as well as 3rd Grade at Pleasant Hill and 4th Grade at Hawthorne Elementary. I was also a classroom Instructional Assistant right out of college in District 200 as well.
As a student, I also grew up in Wheaton. I attended Hawthorne Elementary School, Franklin Middle School and Wheaton North High School. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Sociology from Augustana College in 2007. I completed a Master's degree as a reading specialist from Olivet Nazarene University and also completed an English Language endorsement through the University of St. Francis.
I have always been very passionate in working with and teaching young children. I strive to positively impact every child and their family academically, socially and emotionally. My hope is to ignite a deep desire and love for learning at a very young age. My heart is at Emerson and I am grateful to be working with your children this year!
