Dr. Alexia Ellett

After graduating from the University of Iowa with a degree in English Education, I taught at Eisenhower High School in Rialto, California, as an English teacher for six years, serving the last year as English Department Chair.  During my time in California, I earned my M.A. in Educational Administration from The University of California, Riverside, with additional certifications in gifted education and cross-cultural language acquisition.  Family and friends drew my husband and me back to Wheaton where I grew up (graduate of Glenbard South).

From 2007-2014, I served Wheaton North as an English teacher and department chair.  In the summer of 2014, I took on the role of Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction, which continues to be a great experience.  Currently, I live in a nearby suburb with my husband, also an educator, and our three daughters:  Aubrey (12), Brynn (10), and Devyn (8).  Recently, I completed my doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University.

Wheaton North is an amazing school--there is no place that I would rather be.  The students, teachers, staff, and community make coming to work every day a joy and an honor.
