Degrees and Certifications:
B.S. in Education, St. Norbert College M.S. Ed in Special Education, Northern Illinois University
Hi, my name is Mrs. King and I have been teaching for ten years. Throughout my ten years I have taught first grade through fourth grade in three different buildings and two districts. I began teaching in 2004 at Salt Creek District 48. At the start of the 2005-2006 school year I came to District 200 as a Second Grade teacher at Lincoln School. During my time at Lincoln, I completed a Masters in Special Education at Northern Illinois University. Upon completing my degree, I transitioned from the classroom to the Special Services Department becoming a Resource teacher at Lowell School. I have been at Lowell since 2012 and have enjoyed getting to know new families and staff.
I grew up in Wheaton and graduated from St. Francis High School. I received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from St. Norbert College in DePere, WI. I am currently living in Sugar Grove with my husband and daughter enjoying the many adventures of being a new mom.
In addition to teaching, I am a coach for District 200's Special Olympics team. I love working with our student athletes in a competitive and social atmosphere.
