• Christine Fitzgerald is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and has a Ph.D. in School Psychology (1998) from Loyola University, Chicago where she also completed her Masters Degrees in Education and Sociology. Dr. Fitzgerald has over fifteen years field experience as a School Psychologist working with children ages 2 through adulthood in early childhood, elementary, middle school, high school and with young adults in the 18-22 year old transition program. Her certifications include an educational specialist Type 73 and the National Certification in School Psychology.

     

    She has been a School Psychologist with CUSD200 since 2008. She has served Hawthorne Elementary School, Edison Middle School, the 18 through 21 year old Transition Student Services Program, and is currently the school psychologist at Lowell. Prior to that Christine worked as a School Psychologist in Elmhurst CUSD205 at the early childhood through middle school level programs from 1999-2008.

     

    Dr. Fitzgerald’s counseling and private practice background includes having worked with families, including children and parents who were referred for domestic violence counseling support services. As a parent of three children herself, Dr. Fitzgerald’s mission is to help parents understand their child’s social emotional, behavioral and educational needs.
