    Sarita Potas
This is my 18th year in the district teaching Second Language Learners. Before joining the Sandburg family, I taught second language learners at Lincoln Elementary. I have a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction as well as in Reading. My Puerto Rican heritage helps me to communicate with those of Spanish backgrounds. When I am not teaching, I enjoy traveling, reading and everything outdoors. I have been married for over 33 years to my wonderful husband, Bill. Our son Preston is a Civil Engineer and our daughter Amanda works in marketing. I am very proud of my family. I look forward to a year of growth for both myself and your children.

    Anne Bush
Hello! My name is Annie Bush, and this will be my fifth year teaching. For the last four years, I taught 2nd and 3rd grade in Seattle, WA. While teaching for a linguistically diverse population in Seattle, I realized my passion for supporting multilingual learners. I pursued a year-long ELL endorsement program through Seattle University. I am thrilled to be serving Sandburg students! It is all the more special because I attended Sandburg as a student in Kindergarten through 5th grade. Go Roadrunners! I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Governors University. My husband and I moved back to Wheaton this summer to be closer to family. Our corgi-aussie mix, Skye, loves living here too!

    Wendy (Gwendolyn) Hudson
This is my seventh year in education. I was a permanent sub at Hawthorne School for 4 years and was a TA at Washington School last year. I have a BA in Literature and Secondary Education from Wheaton College and my ESL Endorsement from the University of St. Francis. I have 4 kids who have all gone through District 200 (one is still at Wheaton North). I grew up in Cincinnati, Ohio, and love to travel with my husband and kids, especially road trips and hiking in the mountains. I love working with elementary students and am excited to be at Sandburg Schools this year!
