I have been a first grade teacher at Washington since 2001. Before teaching at Washington I have been the  Director of a Christian preschool, taught Kindergarden, third grade,high school and 15 years as a part time instructor at the College of DuPage. Although I have had many years of teaching experience, my favorite grade is first!

     My family and I live in Glen Ellyn and I am also the mom of six children:three boys and three girls! Although all but one is still at home, the others have graduated college and are now on their own!

     I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Elementary Education and have a Masters in Early Childhood Education and Special Ed. I have also completed 60 hours past my post graduate degree.

     I love teaching in Wheaton and am so proud to be part of the Washington family. My philosophy is to have each child leave my classroom with a positive self concept and a love of learning!
