Mr. Evan James
Mr. James is in his sixth year as part of the Social Studies Department and his first year as an Instructional Technology Coach at Wheaton North High School. Prior to beginning his professional teaching career, Mr. James earned his bachelor's degree in History from Carroll University in Waukesha, WI. During his undergraduate years at Carroll, Mr. James was a member of the Carroll University Pioneer football team, history honors society Phi Alpha Theta, and the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization of Metro Milwaukee. Following his undergraduate studies and athletic participation, Mr. James went on to student-teach at a Chicago Public High School.
Mr. James currently teaches American Government & Civics and Economics, and coaches football and boys basketball. In August of 2017, he completed a Master's Degree in Illinois Principal Preparation with Principal Endorsement through Concordia University Chicago. He recently completed a second Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology through Northern Illinois University. Mr. James enjoys building and maintaining positive relationships with students as he experienced as a CUSD200 student! He strives to challenge all students and hold them to high expectations!
