Mr. Roe

Mr. Roe is a lifelong resident of Wheaton and graduate of D200 schools, and has been teaching at Wheaton North since 1997

He attended Augustana College in Illinois, graduating with a B.A. in History and Secondary Education.  While there he was also a 4 year varsity athlete in both cross-country and track, competing under the tutelage of Hall-of-Fame coach Paul "Ols'" Olsen.

After spending the first half of his time at Wheaton North teaching at-risk students, Mr. Roe transitioned to teaching AP and Honors classes, which is primarily what he teaches today.  Working with such a broad range of abilities has helped him gain invaluable insight into various ways to relate to and help students at Wheaton North.

In addition to his teaching duties, Mr. Roe is the Head Boys Cross-Country and Head Boys Track coach, serving in that capacity since 2005 and 2021 respectively.

Mr. Roe and his family live in Wheaton and has 5 children in D200 schools.  His wife has also been a boys soccer coach at Wheaton North since 2005.

This year Mr. Roe is teaching AP US History, and AP European History.
