Hello, and welcome to 5S!

 

I hope everyone had a fantastic summer and is ready to kick off the new school year! I am really looking forward to starting my second year teaching fifth grade here at Longfellow and getting to know my new class. 

 

Prior to coming to Longfellow last year, I worked as an educational assistant at Lincoln Elementary in Elmhurst. I spent most of my time there in a fifth grade classroom, and I did my student teaching in a fifth grade classroom in Bettendorf, Iowa. I am a 2013 graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. I come from a long-time Wheaton family! Both my parents graduated high school here in Wheaton, and I attended most of my elementary school years at Lowell before my family moved to Batavia, where I am now currently living as well. I feel so lucky to be teaching back in the same district that gave me so much as young student!
