I grew up on a farm in East-Central Illinois before moving up to the suburbs for college, where I obtained a B.A. in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Trinity International University. I worked in a chemistry lab for Avon Products for a couple of years before making a shift to education. To make that shift, I completed a Master's Degree in Teaching at Wheaton College. I had also been tutoring high school students for several years and enjoyed working with them to discover new concepts and understand scientific principles at a deeper level. I started teaching at Wheaton North High School in 2015, where I'm teaching I Level and AP Chemistry.
