Hello!  My name is Jessica Pizzoferrato (formerly Ms. Schatte).  I am one of the special education resource teachers here at Emerson Elementary.   I am very honored to be starting my eighth year of teaching here at Emerson Elementary! As a resource teacher and case manager, I support the inclusion of students in the general education classroom as well as provide direct instruction.   

I earned my B.A. in Special Education from Eastern Illinois University in 2015, and completed my student teaching within District 200 at Lincoln Elementary and Franklin Middle School.  I obtained my Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction through National Louis University in 2019, with concentration areas in Special Ed. Early Childhood and English as a Second Language.

I am thrilled to be starting another amazing year supporting Emerson students and collaborating with Emerson’s exceptional staff, families, and community in order to make this year a success!
