Ms. Colleen Antas

Hello! My name is Colleen Antas and this is my first year at Wheaton North High School... as a teacher! I am a graduate of Wheaton North myself and am beyond happy to be back to my Falcon roots. Prior to coming to Wheaton North this year, I taught at Carl Schurz High School in Chicago, IL for five years. During my time there, I taught Spanish, special education, and OneGoal (a three-year college preparatory course aimed at helping students that need additional help and support to get into and graduate from college). Last year I was the Athletic Director at Schurz and oversaw 37 sports teams, all coaches, all games/contests, buses, officials, inventory, eligibility, etc. Additionally, I served as the Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Coordinator for the last three years and oversaw all schoolwide behavioral initiatives, assemblies, and incentives. I was a co-sponsor of the Student Council and oversaw school dances, blood drives, and weekly meetings. Finally, I served as the Girls Varsity Soccer Coach for the last four years.

This year at Wheaton North I am working as the Day Academy teacher and love helping all students find a way to be successful in the Day Academy Program. Go Falcons!
