Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Illinois University, Masters Degree in Education Leadership from Aurora University

Mr. Tim Callahan

It is my honor and pleasure to serve as the Madison Elementary School principal. This marks my fourteenth year in this position. Before coming to the Madison community, I was the principal at Johnson Elementary in Warrenville for five years and assistant principal at Johnson for one year.  After graduating from Eastern Illinois University, I began my career at Pleasant Hill Elementary. There I worked for seven years. I began as a paraprofessional in the reading and special education programs. Then taught for six years in first grade and third grade.  Along the way, I earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University and I am proud to say that I have worked in these excellent District 200 schools throughout my entire career.

I believe passionately that public education helps to build and bolster our community's strong foundation. While guiding and inspiring students through rigorous social/emotional and academic standards, we have the opportunity and responsibility to ensure that all students whether rich/poor, native-born/immigrant, boy/girl seize the opportunities of a great education so that they become great citizens of this country and our world. It is an awesome responsibility and I am thrilled to be a part of it!

It is my pleasure to serve and be a part of this District 200 community where I have lived most of my life. I was born and raised in Warrenville and Wheaton and my family calls this community home as well. My wife, Lisa, and I are blessed with six children; Ruby and Jackson (21), McKenna (19), Lauren, (17), Nana (15), and Nique (11).

I enjoy getting to know each member of our Madison community and hope that this has helped you get to know me as well.
