Welcome to Madison Elementary School's Library Learning Center!
Dear Students and Families,
The District 200 Library Learning Center Directors are pleased to announce a district-wide celebration of summer reading. Our goal is to encourage children to keep reading throughout the summer. The theme this year is "Camp Out With a Good Book."
This program is for students who will be in 1st through 5th grades next year. To participate, decide on a reading goal. To keep brains and reading skills sharp, we want you to try to read 20 minutes or more every day. Once you’ve set your goal, use the bingo sheet to have fun reaching your goal!
Each time you complete one of the activities, color in or put an X through the square. Students who complete a row of five of the activities (across, down, or diagonal) will be invited to join in our summer reading celebration when school starts! Those who blackout the board (complete every activity) may earn a bonus reward!
Both independent reading and family read-aloud time may be counted toward the activities.
Make family reading a priority this summer. Enjoy books, comic books, magazines, or newspapers, and participate by reading every day.
