Mrs. Katie DiJohn
Hello!
My name is Katie DiJohn, and I will be teaching 7th grade Language Arts and Literature at Edison this year! This is my eighth year teaching at the middle school level and my fourth year in District 200. I am ready to make this my best year yet!
I graduated from Illinois State University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Middle Level Education, a Minor in Children's Studies, and endorsements in Reading, English, and Social Sciences. In 2016, I received an additional endorsement in English as a Second Language Education through Northern Illinois University, and I obtained my Masters Degree in Literacy Education with a Focus on Bilingual and ESL last spring (2021).
A little more about me:
I attended St. Francis High School in Wheaton and graduated from there in 2010. My husband, Vince, and I are high school sweethearts and got married in 2018. Vince and I currently live in Geneva with our Labradoodle, Grizzly. In my free time, I love cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks and Green Bay Packers, going out for sushi, and spending time with friends and family.
