Mrs. Suzanne Lendy
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I am thrilled to be back working with students after enjoying a wonderful summer filled with family, friends, vacations and relaxation.
I graduated from Northern Illinios University with a degree in elementary education. I earned a master's degree, with an emphasis in special education, the following year. After graduation, I worked for five years in the St. Charles and Geneva School distrits, in self-contained ED/BD classrooms (grades 3-5). I was able to help students modify or eliminate unsuitable behaviors and improve academics while working in this setting. It was a wonderfully challenging start to my teaching career. I took an extended period of time off to raise my family. I have three daughters who have graduated from District 200 and are all attending various universities and one son who is currently a junior at Wheaton North High School.
I have been employed by District 200 since 2006. I taught one year in an extended day kindergarten program, had the opportunity to be a one-on-one aide for a special needs student in the district, then was hired to work at Lincoln School, as a special education resource teacher, from 2007-2017. Last year I split my time between Whittier Elementary and Peasant Hill Elementary. This your I will be working with resource students in grades K-5 splitting my time between Whittier and Lincoln.
