Mrs. Lindsay Benedetti
Mrs. Benedetti is in her nineteenth year as part of the Special Education Department at Wheaton North High School. For the past twelve years, Mrs. Benedetti has served as the Special Education Department Chair and before that she was a teacher and case manager within the Department. Prior to beginning her professional career, Mrs. Benedetti received her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University. In 2009, she earned her Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Aurora University. She earned 60 additional credit hours beyond her Master's Degree with hopes to provide better resources for students and staff at Wheaton North and also in the District 200 community.
Mrs. Benedetti enjoys collaborating with her fellow colleagues and establishing a strong partnership with parents and guardians. Mrs. Benedetti works with Special Education students and their families during their 8th grade school year to help make the transition to high school. She continues to help plan for students during their four years at Wheaton North. She facilitates IEP meetings throughout the school year to help establish systems of support for the students. Mrs. Benedetti takes pride in leading 24 fantastic department teachers and 13 teacher assistants. Her passion is teamwork and she strives to ensure that District 200 students and staff have access to resources in order to achieve and then exceed their greatest potential.
In her free time, Mrs. Benedetti enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.
