This will be my 6th year as a classroom teacher at Jefferson Early Childhood Center, but it will be my 8th year working at Jefferson.   Working with children has been my passion my whole life. I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I gained my Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement from National Louis University and my ESL Endorsement from St. Francis University.  My experience ranges from creating the Winfield Public School's Tiger Cub Preschool Program, teaching 3 year-olds, 4 year-olds, kindergarten and special education.  I live in Wheaton, with my wonderful husband, Joe, and our 4 children; Justin-25, Jacob-23, Jared-22 and Makayla-19. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, playing games and watching game shows.

My mission is to create an environment for my students to enjoy coming to school where they feel safe to explore, develop their skills and give them the confidence to become life-long learners.  I look forward to working with you and your child this year!
