Ms. Tenerelli

Hello! Welcome to a new school year! My name is Amanda Tenerelli and I am very excited to be working as a Special Education Resource Teacher here in District 200. This is my 7th year teaching, but my first here in the district and I am so excited to be working with the school communities of Hawthorne and Sandburg this school year. Since I will be traveling between schools each day, the best way to contact me is through my email. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you might have! I look forward to a great school year and working with you and your students!

A little about me: I grew up around here in Downers Grove and I spent three years living and teaching in Chicago at a Charter School right after graduating from Eastern Illinois University, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. After those three years in Chicago, I was looking for a new adventure and moved to Seattle, Washington. I taught at an elementary school in the Seattle area for another three years. While out in the Pacific Northwest, I also earned my Master’s Degree in Literacy from Seattle Pacific University. After a wonderful three years on the West Coast, I was ready to make my way back home and I decided to move back to the Midwest! :) I am so excited for this next adventure and look forward to getting to know all of you!
