Mrs. Hughes has been a middle school teacher at Franklin Middle School since 1994.  She has taught 7th grade and 6th grade science.  Currently, she is teaching 6th grade.  Previously she also taught middle school science in Fort Wroh, TX and Keeneyville, IL.  Her favorite part of her job is working with her students.  The students at Franklin Middle School have always been great to work with.  She enjoys their enthusiasm for learning science.

 

Mrs. Hughes has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Texas Christian University in Fort Wroth, TX.  She has a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction form National Louis University.  She lives in Wheaton with her husband Kent and her daughter Sasha.  Sahsa is in 4th grade at Washington Elementary.  They also have a golden retriever named Olive.
