Mrs. Scott
Mrs. Scott teaches Freshman English and Academic Reading at WN. She has previously taught ELA and Social Studies at Franklin Middle School. She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from Illinois State University and spent several years as the Director of Marketing and Communications for a Networking Products company. She went back to school and earned her master's in the art of teaching secondary education from National Louis University. In addition, she holds a master's degree in curriculum and instruction and certification as a reading teacher for grades 6-12 and middle grades certification.
Mrs. Scott grew up in Wheaton, attending Pleasant Hill, Franklin, and Wheaton North. She still lives in Wheaton with her husband, a WN graduate, and their two sons, both graduates of WN. One of the perks of teaching in the community where she lives is to be able to see so many students navigate through WN, work at local businesses and become adults. In her spare time, you might find her at the library, the French Market, or biking on the Prairie Path. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and being active outdoors with her family.
